Constructed of 100% Rattan, which is natural and sustainable, this 22cm round banneton with cloth liner is perfect for proofing your sourdough bread. The banneton helps shape all types of bread into beautiful looking loaves, whilst also providing additional benefits. Rattan helps draw moisture from the surface of the dough, which helps achieve the crunchiest of crusts. It also comes with a cloth cover that you can place over the banneton.
There are no harsh chemicals in natural rattan so your bread isn’t exposed to anything harmful compared to something like plastic. Choose a rattan banneton to create beautiful artisan sourdough bread!
This banneton is not for use in the oven, only for proofing. Please do not expose to temperatures over 40℃

I may be into sourdough 5 years after most (Covid had a lot to answer for) but I am loving making sourdough using the start kit I bought. Starting with the aim to give my family a more gut healthy option, I am finding the whole process quite therapeutic! My family keep asking me to make fresh loaves so I must be doing something right. Purchased a round and rectangle banneton as my sourdough didn’t retain its shape if I let it proof in a plastic bowl, since purchasing I’ve made 8 Loaves, each have been great and retain their shape and integrity

I started a bit small with just some basics, including the banneton. I still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing, but at least I have the tools to do it!!! But seriously it’s been great, washing is easy, and so far my bread has been edible at the very least. I’m excited to keep learning!
