Over time your banneton can get a build up of caked on dried flour that it difficult to remove and make make your dough start sticking when proofing. Dried flour is easy to remove using a hard bristled banneton cleaning brush.
After you have baked your loaf of sourdough, leave your banneton in the oven as it cools down to dry it out fully. Once dry, scrub off dried flour using the brush and store the banneton in a dry area.

Love the Dutch oven
I didn’t add my photo to my last review oooops. Here it is love You Knead and all its tools, advice and support
Making my own sourdough bread was something I'd never thought I could ever possibly do. Josh and his team, together with youkneadsourdough's carefully considered, wonderful products and tools has 4ever changed that. I have already successfully made four loaves, two in their sourdough loaf tins and two in the cast iron Dutch oven. Josh explains things in easy to understand terms in his masterclass. My questions have always met with friendly advice steering me in the right direction. Today, I am experimenting. I will be using my youkneadsourdough starter to make sourdough brioche buns for bbq burgers. The sourdough breads I've made so far are just super delicious, hence - Superlicious Sourdough. Thanks Josh and team. Allan from Brisbane.
