Our cotton bread bags help to keep your bread fresher for longer! By letting your baked loaf breathe, you keep the crust nice and crusty and the inside nice and soft. You can even store these in the freezer to avoid single use plastic!
Better yet, the bags are reusable and are roughly 35cm x 35cm so will comfortably fit a large loaf of sourdough. There is a draw string at the top to ensure no nasties are feasting on your food.
I have made about 6 so far using 00 and or lighthouse bread flour. The first 2 were better than others. Feeding 2 lots of starter every day either 100 or 50gms and same in water removing approx the same each time. Only ever had 1 bubble over. Even though I have Bubbles and 97 degrees when cpming oit of the oven onside the bread, the breag can be dense. I am following the pre heat directions in a Dutch Oven. Folding every 30 minutes 4 times as the video shows. Mixing the 150 starter with 350 water and 500 flour. What am I doing wrong!
Brilliant as described
Hi
After a long break from making my our sour dough bread thought I would try your sour dough starter. Followed instructions the first batch of bread was flat and hard. The starter was a bit runny. Next loaf starter looked good but bread didn’t rise. The rise in the bread process was not that great. Made great choc chip cookies with rest of starter. They were light in texture and enjoyed by all.
Hi Carol,
Can you send us an email so we can try to troubleshoot your baking process? If the starter was nice and active then it's likely an issue with the bread preparation step. We're happy to help!
